Marble Worktops

Marble is a metamorphic rock formed when limestone is transformed by intense heat and pressure. Famed since antiquity for its luminous quality and dramatic veining, every slab is a one-off geological artwork.

How it's made

Quarried in Carrara, Calacatta, Statuario and Bianco Lasa, then sawn into 20–30mm slabs. We bookmatch consecutive slabs so vein patterns mirror across islands and splashbacks for a stunning butterfly effect.

Suitability

Kitchens

The most beautiful kitchen worktop you can buy — but it asks for a relationship. It will etch from lemon and wine and develop a soft patina. Many clients pair quartz on main runs with a marble feature island.

Bathrooms

The bathroom is where marble truly belongs — cosmetics are kinder than kitchen acids, and the soft glow against chrome or brass delivers a hotel-spa feel no engineered surface matches.

Outdoors

Not recommended outdoors — acid rain etches the polish, frost can damage installations, and many marbles yellow under UV. Porcelain marble-effect slabs give a near-identical look outside.
